The annual Day on the Alpaca Farm will be held on September 4, 2010 at KeLe Alpacas, Kewaunee, WI. The public is invited to tour the alpaca farm, enjoy live music, visit with a number of area alpaca breeders, walk alpacas through the woods and enjoy an on-site art show. Spinning, weaving and felting demonstrations open for public participation will be performed throughout the day along with children’s games, face painting, bubbles to blow and more. The 17th Annual Agricultural Heritage Days will be held on September 25-26 at the Kewaunee County Fairgrounds at Luxemburg. Featured this, year will be the Minneapolis Moline and its predecessor companies Moline Plow Company, M. S. M Twin City Line and Minneapolis Threshing Machine Company, tractors and implements. Open House at the Besadny Anadormous Fisheries Facility

On Saturday, October 9, the DNR’s Besadny Anadromous Fisheries Facility will be hosting an open house from 9 AM to 3 PM. Come watch the annual Chinook salmon run that brings them back to the Kewaunee River. Visitors will be able to watch salmon jump the fish ladder through the underwater viewing windows, learn about the history of Lake Michigan fisheries, and observe DNR fisheries staff demonstrate the salmon egg collection process.
